Javier Galán

Associate at Headrick Rizik Álvarez & Fernández. Admitted to practice in 2020. Mr. Galán concentrates his practice in the areas of general business law, corporate law, and commercial law, with an emphasis on banking and financial transactions, project finance and development, mergers and acquisitions, foreign investment, and regulated industries. He regularly assists foreign and domestic clients on aspects related to project financing, mergers and acquisitions, and regulatory matters. Mr. Galán has collaborated in projects of the energy market in the Dominican Republic.

Mr. Galán received his Bachelor of Laws (summa cum laude) from the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 2020, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) from Columbia Law School (CLS) in 2023. Mr. Galan focused his LL.M. on corporate finance, energy law, securities law, and general corporate and transactional matters. Additionally, he is currently pursuing a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Administrative and Economic Regulation Law at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM), Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

Mr. Galán is a member of the Dominican Bar Association. He is fluent in English, Spanish and has advanced knowledge in French.
