Ana Margarita Mercedes Gómez

Associate at Headrick. Admitted to practice in 2021. Ms. Mercedes’ practice comprises general business and corporate matters, with a focus on banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, and energy law. Ana Margarita regularly assists national and foreign financial institutions in project financing transactions, as well as investors in the establishment and development of projects in the Dominican Republic, including energy generation projects (renewable and conventional energy-sourced).

Ms. Mercedes received her Bachelor of Laws (Summa Cum Laude) from Universidad Iberoamericana (UNIBE) in 2021, a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Public Law and Economic Regulation from Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Maestra (PUCMM) in 2024, and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Financial Law and Regulation from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in 2025, having been awarded a Chevening Scholarship by the British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office.

She is fluent in English and Spanish and has advanced knowledge of French.
